Terms and Conditions
Last updated: August 2026
These terms set out the rules for using Dadvisory, at https://dadvisory.net. By using this
site, you accept them. If you don’t agree with any part, please don’t use the site.
Dadvisory is written and run by me, Patryk Smietana, as an individual based in the United
Kingdom. Throughout these terms, “I”, “me” and “my” refer to me, and “you” and “your” refer
to you as a visitor.
Using this site
You may read, share and link to anything published here. You agree to use the site lawfully
and not to do anything that damages it, interferes with its operation, or restricts anyone
else’s use of it. Automated scraping, republishing content in bulk, or using the site’s
material to train commercial systems without permission is not allowed.
Content and copyright
Unless stated otherwise, everything on this site — articles, photographs, graphics and
downloadable resources — is my own work and protected by copyright.
You may quote short extracts with clear credit and a link back to the original article. You
may not republish full articles, reproduce them elsewhere, or sell any material from this site
without my written permission. Free downloadable resources are for personal use only and may
not be redistributed or sold.
Ask through the contact page if you want to use something. The answer is usually yes.
Information, not advice
Everything here is general information based on my own experience and research. It isn’t
medical, health, safety, legal or financial advice, and it isn’t a substitute for speaking to
a qualified professional about your own situation. Full details are on the general disclaimer
page.
Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions when using any product with your child. That
guidance takes precedence over anything written here.
Affiliate links
Some articles contain affiliate links, which earn me a commission if you buy through them at
no extra cost to you. This is explained in full on the affiliate disclaimer page, and disclosed
at the top of every article that contains them.
Links to other websites
This site links to third-party websites, including retailers and UK organisations such as the
NHS and Ofcom. I have no control over their content, availability, terms or privacy practices,
and a link is not an endorsement of everything on that site. Once you leave Dadvisory, their
terms apply, not mine.
Cookies
This site uses essential cookies to function and optional analytics cookies which load only if
you accept them. See the Privacy Policy for details, including how to change your choice.
Accuracy and availability
I write in good faith and correct mistakes when I find them, but I don’t guarantee that
everything here is complete, current or error-free. Prices, product specifications and official
guidance change without notice.
I also can’t guarantee the site will always be available or free of interruptions. I may add
to, amend or remove content at any time.
Liability
Anything you do based on this site is at your own risk. To the extent permitted by law, I
accept no liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of this site or reliance on
its content.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by
negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. This does not
affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
Comments and messages
If you send me a message or leave a comment, keep it lawful and civil. I may remove or decline
to publish anything abusive, defamatory, misleading or promotional, and I’m not responsible for
opinions expressed by readers.
Changes to these terms
I may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they were last
revised, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated version.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute falls under the
exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
